Shintaro Enami, a ceramist who is an artist to watch at FFT. He is an emerging artist who has just become independent from "Otani Seitojo" after five years of various experiences as the top apprentice of Tetsuya and Momoko Otani.

Enami's works feature distinctive flowing shinogi. All are hand-carved, and their elegant and elaborate expressions are breathtaking. And his skill with the potter's wheel is truly remarkable.

The works are light, fit comfortably in the hand, and have excellent weight balance. While sophisticated in form, the works, imbued with the soft expression of curves, will surely lead your tea time to be even richer.

Diameter: approx. 7cm / Height: approx. 8cm

As these are artisan works, there may be individual differences in glaze, color, and size.

[Handling Instructions]
Because this pottery is absorbent, its texture will change with the moisture and oil from food. Since it is prone to staining, we recommend avoiding dark-colored dishes until the entire piece has absorbed oil. As you use it, it will develop more character, so we hope you enjoy that change. If you are concerned, try soaking it in water for about 10 minutes before use. This will help prevent staining and odors to some extent, and it will gradually mature.
