Taku Nagaki Glass Exhibition to be held at Uehara store from October 12 (Sat) to 15 (Tue)!
Saturday, October 12 - Tuesday, October 15, FOOD FOR THOUGHT Uehara will be hosting a solo exhibition by glass artist Taku Nagaki, who works in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture.

His simple forms are carefully thought out for everyday use. His reliable blown glass techniques create a well-balanced beauty. The pieces created by Nagaki seamlessly blend into our daily lives and quietly dissolve into the everyday landscape.
The glass, given the form of a vessel, is both serene and eloquent. The works, respectfully and carefully created from the material, not only make our lives more comfortable when in use but also when simply placed in a space.
The exquisite expression of curves and harmonious proportions are captivating. In addition to the charm of each individual piece, the beauty of the works when viewed as a collection is remarkable. Please come and see these delicate yet powerful works in person at the store.
The highlight of this exhibition is a special vase that we custom-ordered from FOOD FOR THOUGHT!
This vase is a convenient size for use on a table. It's perfect for seasonal flowers, and it also looks great with greens picked from the garden or herbs from the kitchen. It comes in four colors and is a valuable item that can only be obtained at this exhibition. Please look forward to it.
In addition, a wide variety of items will be available, including plates, wine glasses, pitchers, confectionery bowls, and gelato cups, as well as unique pieces exclusive to this exhibition.
The colors available are gray, amber, clear, and pink, which Nagaki specially created for this exhibition, for a total of four colors. The modern gray is our most popular color, tightening up any table setting. The chic amber pairs perfectly with fresh vegetables. And the clear, which works in any situation, supports daily life with its honest presence. The pink, making its debut at our store, is a vibrant color perfect for the deepening autumn and the upcoming winter holiday season! It is also recommended for special gifts and party table coordination.
Let's enjoy the season of abundance with Nagaki's glass.
Our staff looks forward to your visit! (Haruna)
