02 Rim Plate M (White)

An artist in the FFT spotlight: ceramicist Shintaro Enami. Having gained a wealth of experience over five years as the top apprentice to Tetsuya and Momoko Otani, he is a promising artist who has recently branched out from "Otani Seitosho."

Enami's works feature distinctive waves (streamlines). Each one is meticulously hand-carved, resulting in a graceful and intricate appearance that is truly masterful. His wheel-throwing technique is, in a word, superb.

The rim plate is said to be the piece used most frequently in Enami's own home, making it an indispensable part of his daily life. The M size is designed to fit a single piece of toast perfectly. It is also recommended as an individual serving plate when entertaining guests.

As these are handmade pieces, there are individual differences in glaze, color, and size.

【Care Instructions】
Because this pottery is absorbent, its character will change as it takes on moisture and oils from your food. As it is prone to staining, we recommend avoiding dark-colored foods until the oil has fully integrated into the piece. As it develops more character with use, we hope you enjoy the transformation. If you are concerned about staining, try soaking the piece in water for about 10 minutes before use. This will help prevent staining and odors to some extent, allowing it to gradually mature.
