FFT's featured artist, potter Shintaro Enami.

He is a remarkable artist who, after five years of diverse experience as Tetsuya and Momoko Otani's top apprentice, has just become independent from "Ohtani Pottery Studio."

Enami's works feature distinctive flowing ridged patterns. All are meticulously hand-carved, and their elegant and intricate appearance is breathtaking. His pottery wheel skills are truly exceptional.

His pieces are lightweight, comfortable to hold, and perfectly balanced.

While sophisticated in form, the works, imbued with the soft expression of curves, seem to evoke the aroma of tea, promising to enrich your tea time.

Diameter: Approx. 12cm / Height: Approx. 2.5cm

As these are artisan works, there may be individual differences in glaze, color, and size.

[Handling Instructions]
Because this pottery is absorbent, its texture will change with the moisture and oil from food. Since it is prone to staining, it is recommended to avoid dark-colored dishes until the entire piece has absorbed oil. The more you use it, the more character it develops, so we hope you enjoy this transformation. If you are concerned, try soaking it in water for about 10 minutes before use. This will help prevent staining and odors to some extent, allowing it to gradually mature.
