Miura's glass pieces have a sense of supple form.

The smoke colors, created through original blending, gently blend into the space and harmonize with other materials such as metal, wood, and brocante. The ability to express color lightly is a strength of glass. It will bring a gentle, breezy coolness to your table.

The aptly named "Whimsical Glass" comes in various shapes, and I'd love to fill one with plenty of iced coffee.

Yuko Miura - Biography

Born in Osaka Prefecture in 1982.
Began glassblowing at Glass Studio Aaty while attending Kyoto University of Art and Design.
After graduation, studied the fundamentals of glass at the Toyama Institute of Glass Art.
Worked for five years as a glass studio staff member at Iwata City New Formative Art Creation Center (Shizuoka Prefecture).
2014: Launched the glassblowing studio Bamboo Glass.
Currently active mainly through craft fairs and exhibitions.
