Mr. Nakazono says he discovered pottery through his art studies, which explains the painter's distinctive sense of balance in his use of color. He started using colors much like paints, and was drawn to the subtle differences in expression that emerged each time, which led to his current style.

The flare-shaped bowl takes in a lot of light. The white interior illuminates your dishes like a reflector.
