34 Flange Bowl L
*Black spots and blemishes caused by the appearance of iron particles smaller than 1mm may be present. These are intentionally left by the artist as part of the vessel's character.
The flanged bowl is a hidden gem at this exhibition. While it appears simple, a single character line beneath the edge elevates its design with elegance.
The L size is perfect for fruit bowls and salad bowls. You could fill it with a lot of french fries, or use it in ways that are a little different from your usual dishes. That's the secret to a good vessel!
Please try collecting all three sizes. We hope you enjoy their beauty when nested.

Tetsuhiro Iwata Biography
Born in Tottori Prefecture in 1981. Studied architecture at Kyoto Seika University, then apprenticed under ceramist Kan Ito. Became independent in 2019. As he himself states, he is drawn to "products" like industrial goods. While his works may appear uninteresting from a distance, when held, one is moved by their precise balance and the marks of handiwork. The fusion of constructive, concise proportions and organic handwork evokes the modernity of Brutalist architecture. He is an artist to watch at Food for Thought.
