12 Dora Bowl M (White)

FFT proudly presents ceramic artist Shintaro Enami.

He is a rising artist who has just become independent from "Otani Pottery" after five years of diverse experience as the top apprentice to Tetsuya and Momoko Otani.

The beauty of stacking S, M, and L sizes is reminiscent of his mentors, Tetsuya and Momoko Otani.

The characteristic of this "Dora-bachi" bowl is its large, flat serving area due to the absence of a rim. It's perfect for serving about three dishes, or even Japanese sweets. It also works well for namul or sushi. You can even use it like a tray to arrange a Chinese tea set. It's an incredibly versatile item, a vessel for which you can imagine endless uses.

The regularly carved waves (shinogi) are simple yet iconic. Every time you serve food, your eyes will be drawn to its contours. For a piece of pottery you'll use for a long time, it's wonderful to have reasons to "love" it, not just for its functionality.

As these are artisan pieces, there may be individual differences in glaze, color, and size.

[Care Instructions]
This pottery is absorbent, so its texture will change with moisture and oil from food. It is prone to staining, so we recommend avoiding intensely colored dishes until the entire surface has absorbed oil. The more you use it, the more character it develops, so we hope you enjoy these changes. If you are concerned, try soaking it in water for about 10 minutes before use. This will help prevent staining and odors to some extent, allowing it to gradually mature.
