70_A Sake cup

Hanaka Kato studied under ceramic artist Naotsugu Yoshida and became independent in 2026.
Her forms are clean and refined. This simplicity, which seems to be created through a process of subtraction, gives her work a remarkable sense of character.

Kato's works have a light, airy quality that makes them perfect for women and those new to handmade ceramics.

The rim offers a crisp pour and a smooth feel against the lips, ensuring excellent practicality. For those who enjoy sake, choosing a shape you don't already own can be part of the pleasure. These are also recommended as tea cups for Chinese tea. The subtle hint of yellow gives them a warm touch.
