Hanaka Kato studied under ceramicist Naotsugu Yoshida and became an independent artist in 2026.
Her forms are clean and minimalist. There is a sense of subtraction in her work, where such simplicity becomes a striking individual expression.

Kato's pieces are lightweight, making them perfect for women and those new to handmade pottery.

The rim is crisp and smooth against the lips, ensuring excellent practicality. For sake lovers, choosing a shape you don't already own adds to the pleasure of collecting. These are also recommended as tea ware for Chinese tea. A piece with a refreshing white finish.
