"FOOD FOR THOUGHT Exhibition" held at the Uehara store from March 1st (Sat) - March 9th (Sun)!

March 1 (Sat) - March 9 (Sun) At FOOD FOR THOUGHT Uehara Store,
the special exhibition "FOOD FOR THOUGHT Exhibition" will be held!

This exhibition is a special exhibition with the theme of "gifts" for loved ones.

Spring is a season of life changes, such as graduations, new jobs, and moves. There are also various life milestones, such as marriage, childbirth, birthdays, and 60th birthdays.
Choosing a gift for a close friend, a senior who has helped you, your child who is starting to live alone, or a family member celebrating a milestone, while thinking of that person,
and focusing on giving something memorable. We also want to propose the idea of a reward, a gift for yourself.

The title of this exhibition is "FOOD FOR THOUGHT," which is also the name of our store.
We infuse this phrase with the meaning of "hints and insights for living a better life," and through daily encounters with artworks, we offer suggestions to enrich each person's life. Believing in the power of objects, we hope that people will choose things that can be used for a long time, rather than fleeting consumables as gifts.
Seriously choosing a gift for someone important. Through the act of "giving," you think of the other person and wish for their happiness.
That is precisely FOOD FOR THOUGHT, and we want you to savor that special time of seeing, feeling, and choosing artworks.
Things you wouldn't choose yourself but would be happy to discover if you received them, things perfect for a new life, unique things that bring a smile, and so on.
While thinking of your loved ones, please fully enjoy the time of dialogue with the artworks.

For this exhibition, participating artists were asked to create one-of-a-kind pieces, things they don't usually make, things they have a special attachment to, or pieces made from the perspective of what they would give as a gift to someone.
There are three artists participating for the first time at FFT.
The painted works created by ceramic artist Ritsuko Imai have a primitive power and modernity coexisting, possessing an artistic quality.
Glass artist Akari Takahashi handles materials with a unique perspective, such as creating only "lids" to fit existing products, or replacing product items with glass.
Wood sculptor Keiichi Murakami's works have a form and expansiveness that breathe new life into wood, making him an artist to watch at FFT.

This exhibition features many fascinating artists befitting the "FOOD FOR THOUGHT Exhibition."
Please look forward to it.
