Special Exhibition "Coffee Exhibition" to be held! June 15-18 @ Uehara Store

FFT will hold its first ever "Coffee Exhibition" featuring only "coffee-related works" at the Uehara store from June 15 (Sat) to June 18 (Tue)!

The first day will be by reservation ticket system until 2 PM. Tickets will go on sale from 10:00 PM on June 9 (Sun) on our dedicated ticket reservation website https://foodforthoughtshop.net.

Coffee is now truly one of the most quintessential luxury items.

Not only cafes but also roasters and coffee stands have increased on street corners, and coffee has become more accessible, making it an era where delicious coffee can be easily enjoyed anytime.

While some people indulge at home with elaborate tools and special beans, many others believe coffee should be consumed outside the home.

However, as mentioned earlier, coffee is a luxury item. While it's great to be able to drink decent coffee outside, drinking it in a paper cup or a cup that's not to your liking can feel a bit uninspired.

We want you to enjoy not just "being able to drink coffee," but the time you spend brewing it yourself, and the time you spend drinking delicious coffee even more. With this concept in mind, FFT has asked popular artists to create exquisite works that will make your coffee even more delicious.

If you have your favorite tableware and tools, you can spend a blissful time in a good mood. Since you drink coffee every day, why not enjoy it with your favorite artist's work! That's the suggestion. Just as it's fine to have many rice bowls or many fashion accessories, we want you to enjoy changing your cups according to the season and your mood. That's also the real pleasure of enjoying luxury items.

This is FFT's first coffee exhibition. We've gathered some wonderful creators! Some are making a long-awaited return, and others are participating for the first time, so allow me to introduce them:

Textile artist Mizue Ishihara has prepared many aprons (white and navy), which are so popular that some customers have been waiting for them for several years, for the first time in a long time! When brewing coffee, you want to look beautiful. An apron significantly upgrades your "hardware." Please experience Ishihara-san's wonderfully meticulous handwork.

Glass artist Daiho Kikuchi is participating for the first time. His delicate and static works, which gently and lightly envelop and reshape air, are captivating. It's clear that he constructs his worldview by meticulously mapping it out in his mind, and his pleasant work is truly admirable. As the weather gets hotter, many of you might be looking for glass for iced coffee.

Glass artist Takashi Komiya is also participating for the first time. His works, made with creamy white glass, look like drops of milk taking shape when viewed in a cluster. They are both serene and rhythmic, and the glass pieces seem to be having fun! That was my first impression. Isn't it wonderful to enjoy iced coffee in milky white glass on a hot day?

Ceramic artist Ryoma Matsubara is also participating for the first time! He already has many fans for his delicate and beautiful slipware pieces. His slipware is constructed with earth-colored contrasts. I believe this technique best expresses the fluid nature of pottery, and of course, it's perfectly suited for coffee. His acclaimed mugs also have truly beautiful proportions. We are very much looking forward to it.

palette pottery is also participating for the first time! Many of you may be hearing this for the first time, but it's a new brand led by the immensely popular artist at FFT, Shinsaku Nakazono. Nakazono-san's magic of color remains, but the lineup is more accessible. With the magic of glaze that you can observe for hours without getting bored, please make your coffee time the best it can be.

The other participating artists are also super popular. I believe this is a miraculous lineup. Please come to the "Coffee Exhibition" for yourself or for gifts! All the staff look forward to seeing you.
