"Yamato Kobayashi Exhibition" will be held from 3/19 (SAT) to 22 (TUE) @ Uehara store
The FOOD FOR THOUGHT Uehara store will hold a solo exhibition by Yamato Kobayashi, a ceramic artist who makes pottery in Kasama from Saturday, March 19 to Tuesday, March 22, 2022.
Reservations are required for this exhibition until 14:00 on the first day.
After that, anyone can enter without reservation.
*Ticket reservations will be available on our ticket reservation site (foodforthoughtshop.net) from 21:00 on Saturday, March 12th.
This is my third solo exhibition at FOOD FOR THOUGHT, and I hope that it will be an opportunity for those who have previously selected Mr. Yamato Kobayashi's pottery at our store to buy more. We have prepared standard plates centered on lacquered and ash glaze plates.
Under this situation, I think that the memories of meals at home will remain stronger than ever in our lives.
I believe that Yamato Kobayashi's tableware is a tableware that will always exist in the memories of meals at home and will be used for a long time. When choosing a vessel, I think it is very important to consider whether it can be used for a long time. Then, when I thought about the criteria for that, I thought that the dishes should look delicious when served, they should be versatile enough to be used on a Japanese dining table with a variety of Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes, they should be easy to use, and they should not break easily. These four points came to mind.
As I use Kobayashi's work every day, I feel that if there were these four circles, they would exist in the center of the overlapping circles.
It's fun to meet an artist's work once in a while, but it's actually very rare to be able to buy more when you want it. Mr. Kobayashi's craftsmanship, which continues to make standard products, seems to convey his sincere attitude and responsibility to those who use it.
The coffee dripper and pitcher that will be introduced for the first time at our store will also be lined up in the store.
It has become a lineup that allows you to fully enjoy the writer's world until the coffee time after the meal.
