The surface of this vessel, shaped like a plump lotus flower just about to open, is adorned with flowing waves.
It can also be used as a kensui.

In the tea ceremony, a "kensui" is used to receive water rinsed from the tea bowl. In Chinese tea ceremonies, it can also be used to hold hot water for warming cups and teapots. While it plays a supporting role compared to teacups and tea pitchers, incorporating Mr. Enami's beautiful craftsmanship will surely enrich the tea time itself.
Of course, its use is flexible: you can use it like a large bowl, or adorn it with flowers like a vase. I'd love to use it freely and boldly, without reservation.

Diameter: Approx. 15cm / Height: Approx. 8cm

As this is an artist's work, there may be individual differences in glaze, color, and size.

[Care Instructions]
Since this pottery is absorbent, its texture will change with moisture and oil from food. It is prone to staining, so we recommend avoiding darkly colored dishes until the entire surface has absorbed oil. The more it is used, the more character it develops, so we hope you enjoy this transformation. If you are concerned, try soaking it in water for about 10 minutes before use. This will help prevent staining and odors to some extent, and it will gradually develop its unique character.
