Enami's lampshade. It is said to be made using a special light-transmitting clay from Shigaraki.

When lit, a soft light spreads, and the three-dimensional lines of the shade emerge.

When not lit, you can enjoy the unique texture of pottery.

Since this pottery is absorbent, its texture will change with the moisture and oil from food. It is prone to staining, so we recommend avoiding intensely colored dishes until the oil has fully permeated the entire surface. The more you use it, the more character it develops, so we hope you enjoy these changes. If you are concerned, try soaking it in water for about 10 minutes before use. This will somewhat prevent staining and odors, and it will gradually develop a richer patina.
