Enami-san lampshade. It is said to be made using a special light-transmitting clay from Shigaraki.

When lit, a soft light spreads, and the three-dimensional lines of the shade emerge.

When not lit, it has an appearance that allows you to enjoy the unique texture of pottery.

Because this pottery is absorbent, its appearance will change with the moisture and oil from food. It is prone to color transfer, so it is recommended to avoid dark-colored dishes until the oil has fully permeated the entire surface. The more you use it, the more character it develops, so we hope you enjoy this transformation. If you are concerned, try soaking it in water for about 10 minutes before use. This will help prevent color transfer and odors to some extent, and it will gradually develop a richer patina.
