02C Rice bowl
For the "Children's Pottery Exhibition," Ritsuko Imai sent us pieces fired in her Noborigama kiln this spring.
The Noborigama kiln uses wood to fire ceramics, not gas or electricity. The glazes undergo unexpected changes depending on the temperature and how the flame hits them, and sometimes ash lands on the pieces, creating a freckled appearance. In areas beyond human control, the clay and glazes develop rich textures.
These pieces have a slightly special finish, unique to the Noborigama kiln. When your children are a bit older, please tell them at the dinner table about the time and effort involved in creating things.
This item is versatile and can be used as a rice bowl, for salads, soups, or desserts.
Diameter: Approximately 10.5cm / Height: Approximately 8cm
As these are artisanal pieces, there may be individual differences in glaze, color, and size.
*After use, please wash off dirt promptly and dry thoroughly.
*Not suitable for oven, microwave, or dishwasher.
*No returns or refunds will be accepted. Please understand this before making a purchase.
