After working with Mr. Shigeru Inoue and getting to know him more and more, I think of Mr. Inoue as "flexible like bamboo and absorbent like a sponge."

It may be presumptuous because he is a senior in life, but he is also a very loyal person.

At FFT, Mr. Inoue is popular for his wide range of works that make use of the original soil.

For this trunk show, I asked Mr. Inoue to make a large flat plate with the same clay and glaze.

Flat plates are easy to use and many people are looking for them because they are often used in restaurants, but to be honest, it is a very difficult shape to produce with raw soil, which is disadvantageous due to plasticity. It is also difficult to manage dryness during this period from the rainy season to summer.

The most popular ones are the 7 to 8 inch large diameter. The bottom should be completely flat with no pedestals and should not be wobbly. Ease of bashing is also important. It tends to be heavy, so it is important to grind it as thin and flat as possible, which is also a challenge in the raw soil with many impurities.

"I've never made a flat plate before, but I'll give it a try!" said Mr. Inoue.

I was impressed when I saw the final form completed through trial and error.

I said a lot of selfishness from the user's point of view, but when I saw the flexible attitude of taking orders and absorbing all of my requests, I thought, "I'm glad I was able to work with Mr. Inoue!" I think.

So the flat plate that is unveiled this time.

There are 6 to 8 sun, green ash glaze with a beautiful glaze color, and popular stamped flowers. Recommended for both home and shop use. The number is also aligned.

In addition, popular works such as the most popular white Mishima 7-sun plate, rice bowl, gong bowl, and cups are lined up.
