12 Dora Bowl M (Teal)

Shintaro Enami, an artist and ceramist, is garnering attention at FFT.

He is a notable artist who has just become independent from "Otani Seitojo" after five years of gaining various experiences as the top apprentice to Tetsuya and Momoko Otani.

The beauty of stacking S, M, and L sizes is reminiscent of his mentors, Tetsuya and Momoko Otani.

The characteristic of the Dora bowl is its large, flat serving area due to the absence of a rim. It is perfect for serving about three dishes or Japanese sweets, namul, or sushi. You can also use it to arrange a Chinese tea set, much like a tray. It is an incredibly versatile item, an example of a vessel where you can imagine endless uses.

The regularly carved waves (shinogi) are iconic yet simple. Every time you serve food, your eyes will be drawn to its contours. For a vessel that you use for a long time, it's wonderful to have reasons to "love" it, not just for its functionality.

Because this pottery is absorbent, its texture will change with the moisture and oil from food. It is prone to staining, so we recommend avoiding richly colored dishes until the oil has fully permeated. The more you use it, the more character it will develop, so we hope you enjoy this transformation. If you are concerned, try soaking it in water for about 10 minutes before use. This will help prevent staining and odors to some extent, allowing it to gradually mature.
