32 Manganese Glaze Shinogi Cup

Sale price€29,95 EUR

This cup by Michikazu Sakai features a beautiful manganese glaze on the exterior and well-balanced "shinogi" (carved facets) that are both dynamic and somehow refined. The interior is white, allowing the color of your beverage to show beautifully.

A masterpiece that is pleasing to the eyes, hands, and mouth. Perfect for the whole family!

Michikazu Sakai creates his works in an anagama kiln, where the strong flames and intense smoke flow make for highly individual and serendipitous pieces. While it's a challenging environment where the firing results vary greatly depending on how the kiln is loaded and fired, Sakai's works, born from repeated trial and error and masterful control over the firing process, are remarkably crisp, high in mass, and uniquely fired.

Diameter: Approx. 8 cm / Height: Approx. 7 cm
As these are artisanal works, there may be individual differences in glaze, color, and size.
