FOOD FOR THOUGHT Uehara is currently seeking staff.
The shop hosts solo exhibitions and special exhibitions, so your main duties will involve all aspects of managing these events, managing original products, and, most importantly, customer service.
Working closely with artists' pieces, such as ceramics, woodwork, and glass, offers a rich experience from a self-growth perspective.
It is also very rewarding to apply your sensibilities and knowledge gained from interacting with artists to customer service, helping to enrich our customers' lives.
This ethos is encapsulated in our store name, "FOOD FOR THOUGHT."
As a small company, individual initiative is essential. It's also an environment where your own plans and proposals can easily come to fruition. We are looking for individuals who are keen to utilize their ideas and take on new challenges.
In addition to selling main tableware, there are also assistant duties related to food, such as operating our e-commerce site, hosting Chinese tea ceremonies and cooking classes, and regular coffee shop events.
(Food-related events are held at Sendagaya LAB, not the Uehara store.)
The primary workplace is the Uehara store (Uehara 2-chome, Shibuya-ku). We prioritize applicants who live nearby and can commute by foot or bicycle, and who can start working immediately.
Solo exhibitions and special exhibitions are held on weekends, so we only accept applicants who can work on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. (Reduced hours are not currently available.)
Next year, our store will celebrate its 10th anniversary. We look forward to receiving applications from those who want to help make the future of FOOD FOR THOUGHT even more exciting.

Employment Type: Full-time employee
Application Requirements: All ages and genders welcome, no experience necessary.
Preferential treatment for those with special skills.
Preferential treatment for those with experience in customer service, such as sales/food and beverage.
Preferential treatment for those with experience in creative fields such as design/photography.
(All computer work is done on Mac.)
Salary: 260,000 yen~/month (negotiable based on skills)
Bonuses and raises based on annual sales.
Final determination will be made after an interview based on abilities.
Holidays: 2 days off per week (8 days off per month. Flexible shift system updated monthly. Weekend holidays can be taken in weeks without exhibitions or other events.)
Working hours: 9:00-18:00 (including 1 hour break / irregular during exhibitions)
