FFT's featured artist, potter Shintaro Enami. He is a highly anticipated artist who has just become independent from "Otani Seitojo" after five years of diverse experience as the top apprentice to Tetsuya and Momoko Otani.

Enami's works feature distinctive flowing line-carved patterns. All are handcrafted, and their elegant and elaborate appearance is breathtaking. His throwing wheel technique is, as expected, superb.

His meticulous approach to creation is clearly reflected in his works.
They fit well in the hand and have excellent weight balance. The soft expression created by the hand-carved curves also gives the table a light atmosphere.

Also, please pay attention to the wonderful design of the ventilation holes. The holes are connected at a 90-degree angle within the handle and exit at the back of the handle. This way, no holes are visible on the lid. This extra step provides a seamless design that does not detract from the aesthetics. It is a beautiful piece of work inherited from his master. Please also pay close attention to the exquisite craftsmanship of the tea strainer inside.

Since this pottery is absorbent, its texture will change with the moisture and oil from food. As it is prone to staining, it is recommended to avoid dark-colored dishes until the oil has fully absorbed into the entire piece. The more you use it, the more character it develops, so we hope you enjoy this change. If you are concerned, try soaking it in water for about 10 minutes before use. This will help prevent staining and odors to some extent, and it will gradually mature.
