Naoko Miura Exhibition at Uehara Store, April 8 (Sat) - 11 (Tue)!

Saturday, April 8 - Tuesday, April 11: We will be holding Naoko Miura's first solo exhibition at FOOD FOR THOUGHT Uehara.

Entry until 12:00 PM on the first day is by reserved ticket.
After that, you can enter without a reservation.

Tickets will be available for reservation starting Saturday, April 1 at 10:00 PM on our dedicated ticket reservation website (foodforthoughtshop.net).

Naoko Miura creates her works in Tajimi City, Gifu Prefecture.

Her works have a simple and gentle atmosphere, but the edgy designs visible in various places create a comfortable tension.

Miura's vessels, primarily made of semi-porcelain, have the charm of antique pieces. Miura herself loves old things, and drawing inspiration from them, she aims to create vessels that fit into modern life.

Miura says, "I think the Japanese feeling towards pottery is different from that of other countries. There's a culture of subtraction, a depth in simplicity, and a unique sense of intentionally creating distortions. I like things that have such profound depth within apparent simplicity."

In this exhibition, please pay attention to the details of Miura's works.

There are many uniquely shaped works, including the popular Rinka series, octagonal ovals, melon-shaped vessels, and diamond plates. All of them are vessels you'll want to collect.
