FFT's featured artist, potter Shintaro Enami. He is a notable artist who has just become independent from "Otani Seitojo" after five years of diverse experience as the top apprentice of Tetsuya and Momoko Otani.

Enami's works feature characteristic flowing lines of shinogi (fluting). All of them are created by hand carving, and their elegant and elaborate appearance is breathtaking. And his skill with the potter's wheel is truly exceptional.

His meticulous approach to creation is evident in his work.
They fit well in the hand and have excellent weight balance. The soft expression of the hand-carved curves also gives the table a light atmosphere.

And please pay attention to the wonderful design of the ventilation holes. The holes are connected at a 90-degree angle within the handle and emerge from the back of the handle. This ensures that no holes appear on the lid. This small, seamless detail does not detract from the design. It is a beautiful piece of work inherited from his master. Please also pay close attention to the exquisite craftsmanship of the tea strainer inside.

Because this pottery is absorbent, its texture will change with the moisture and oil from food. As it is prone to staining, it is recommended to avoid dark-colored dishes until the entire piece has absorbed oil. The more you use it, the more character it develops, so we hope you enjoy these changes. If you are concerned, try soaking it in water for about 10 minutes before use. This will help prevent staining and odors to some extent, and it will gradually develop.
