Tetsuhiro Iwata - Brief Biography
Born in Tottori Prefecture in 1981. Studied architecture at Kyoto Seika University, then apprenticed under ceramic artist Tamaki Ito. Became independent in 2019. As the artist himself states, he is drawn to "products" like industrial goods. While his works may appear unadorned from a distance, holding them reveals exquisite balance and traces of handiwork. The fusion of constructive, concise proportions and organic handcrafting creates a modernity reminiscent of Brutalist architecture. Tetsuhiro Iwata is an artist garnering attention from Food For Thought.
