Tetsuhiro Iwata - Brief Biography
Born in Tottori Prefecture in 1981. Studied architecture at Kyoto Seika University, then apprenticed under ceramic artist Tamaki Ito. Became independent in 2019. As he himself states, he is attracted to "products" like industrial goods. His works may appear plain from a distance, but when held, one is impressed by the delicate balance and traces of handcraft. The fusion of structural, concise proportions and organic handwork evokes the modernity of Brutalist architecture. He is an artist gaining attention from FOOD FOR THOUGHT.
