55 Arrangement / Vase D
*Black spots and blemishes may be visible due to iron exposure of about 1mm or less.
These are intentional marks left by the artist as part of the vessel's character.
A highly artistic item that strongly reflects Mr. Iwata's flexible way of thinking.
This piece evokes a sense of déjà vu, as if looking at a building. There's a refreshing surprise in the gap between the minimalist impression from a bird's-eye view and the hand-crafted texture that becomes visible up close.

Tetsuhiro Iwata Brief Biography
Born in Tottori Prefecture in 1981. Studied architecture at Kyoto Seika University, then apprenticed under ceramic artist Tamaki Ito. Became independent in 2019. As he himself says, he is drawn to "products" like industrial goods, and while his works may seem indifferent from a distance, when you pick them up, you are moved by their delicate balance and the marks of handwork. The fusion of constructive, concise proportions and organic handwork is reminiscent of the modernism of brutalist architecture. He is an artist that Food For Thought is paying close attention to.
