The sparkling expression created by the reflection of light is refreshing.

Turn over Mr. Yoshihiko Takahashi's cup, and you will notice a small "ponte" mark. A ponte is an iron rod attached to the bottom of the cup using a small amount of glass as glue to widen the opening of the piece. This charming expression, which also looks like a belly button, is a remnant of the hot-glass blowing process and a sign of handmade craftsmanship. Mr. Takahashi deliberately leaves this ponte mark, making it a joy to look at the bottom of the cup.
