53 "Kuyuri" vase

The "Kuyuri" series is a valuable one-of-a-kind item.

Clear to vivid colored glass is blown up and molded to create a base. After that, the surface is shaved with a diamond, and wax is applied to the roughened surface and fired to create a different expression. The name "Kuyuri" comes from the smoke that rises when the wax is burned and the method of making it.

The charm of “Kuyuri” is the synergy of the brown dynamism of the wax part and the vivid color of the colored glass. Magical glass that attracts you the more you look at it.

"Kuyuri" Vase has the power to change the atmosphere of the place just by being there.

While repeating the process of applying wax and smoking, it seems that you will encounter an unexpected natural scenery when you take it out of the furnace. The scenery is different from the beauty of the "Hanakage" series, in which I decide the shape of my thoughts and carefully create it. Mr. Sakaida says that he hopes to create a work that resonates with someone's heart with a "traces of nature" that is not intentional.

This individual with a wide mouth catches the eye directly with the vivid red color inside. The appearance of the melted wax pooling at the bottom, and the gap between the smooth glass and the dry charred texture are also beautiful.

When arranging flowers, it is a good idea to put some small stones in the container and fill it with water before arranging the flowers. It goes well with vine-like flowing flowers and greenery. It's nice just to decorate it as an interior.
