Many of you may be interested in Taiwanese or Chinese tea but feel that attending a class is too daunting a step.

Therefore, FOOD FOR THOUGHT LAB will host a tea ceremony for beginners in Chinese tea, where you can learn about and enjoy tea. It's called "Taiwan / Chinese Tea Ceremony."

The instructor is Mariko Yamamoto, who studied for many years under Hsieh Hsiao-Man at the tea house "Xiao Man Tea Experience" in Taipei. She currently holds her own tea ceremonies and classes and is popular for her gentle personality. The "Taiwan / Chinese Tea Ceremony" is like a hybrid of a tea ceremony and a class, where you can enjoy delicious tea, listen to the instructor's stories, and learn by observing her movements.

The tea sweets will be provided by Haruka Tanida. Please take your time to enjoy the seasonal tea while savoring the deeply flavorful and comforting sweets.

Ms. Yamamoto aims to create tea that aligns with one's feelings at the moment. She says, "I sometimes choose tea leaves according to my mood, but even with the same tea leaves, I can control the tea by how I brew it. This is about taking care of yourself. It feels as if tea becomes your ally."

Let's open the door to Taiwanese and Chinese tea together, aiming to be able to brew such gentle tea.
