Mr. Nakazono says he discovered pottery through art. That's why his use of color shows a balance unique to painters. It seems his current style began when he was drawn to the different expressions that emerged each time he used colors as if they were paints.

Although it's called a "cafe au lait bowl," it can be used in many ways. Of course, it's perfect for desserts like yogurt, fruit, and ice cream, but many people also use it as a rice bowl. The delicate color expressions are truly Nakazono's signature.
