Shintaro Enami, a ceramist and artist, is gaining attention from FFT. As the top apprentice of Tetsuya and Momoko Otani, he gained various experiences for five years before becoming independent from "Otani Seitojo." He is an artist that FFT is keeping an eye on.

Enami's works feature distinctive flowing ridges (shinogi). Each piece is hand-carved, and their elegant and delicate expressions are breathtaking. And his skill with the potter's wheel is truly remarkable.

The pieces are light, fit comfortably in the hand, and have excellent weight balance. While sophisticated in form, these pieces, imbued with the soft expression of curves, seem to embody the aroma of coffee, surely enriching your coffee breaks. The capacity is also recommended for those who want to drink plenty of coffee or those who love cafe au lait.

Because this pottery is absorbent, its texture will change with the moisture and oil from food. It is prone to color transfer, so it is recommended to avoid dark-colored dishes until the entire surface has absorbed oil. The more you use it, the more character it develops, so we hope you enjoy this transformation. If you are concerned, try soaking it in water for about 10 minutes before use. This will help prevent color transfer and odors to some extent, allowing it to gradually develop.
