Shintaro Enami, a ceramic artist, is a notable artist at FFT. He is a rising artist who has just become independent from "Otani Seito-jo" after five years of gaining various experiences as the top apprentice of Tetsuya and Momoko Otani.

Enami's works feature distinctive flowing lines of shinogi (fluting). All are hand-carved, and their elegant and elaborate expressions are breathtaking. His pottery wheel technique is, as expected, superb.

His meticulous approach to creation is clearly reflected in his works.
They fit well in the hand and have excellent weight balance. The soft expressions created by the hand-carved curves also give the table a light atmosphere.

Also, please pay attention to the wonderful design of the ventilation holes. The holes are connected at a 90-degree angle within the handle and emerge from the back of the handle. This way, no holes are exposed on the lid. This extra step creates a seamless design that does not detract from the overall aesthetic. It is a beautiful piece of work inherited from his master. Please also note the precision of the tea strainer inside.

Because this pottery is absorbent, its texture will change with the moisture and oil from food. It is prone to staining, so it is recommended to avoid dark-colored dishes until the entire surface has absorbed oil. The more you use it, the more character it develops, so we hope you enjoy these changes. If you are concerned, please soak it in water for about 10 minutes before use. This will help prevent staining and odors to some extent, and it will gradually develop its character.
