It fits snugly in your hand, a compact size that is very pleasing. The gentle wave on the surface creates subtle variations in the pale white and mocha glaze colors.

Cylindrical teacups, compared to flared cups, have a smaller surface area exposed to the air, which means heat escapes less easily. This makes them more suitable for slowly savoring hot tea. Furthermore, their tall, narrow shape helps to retain the aroma within the teacup, making them highly recommended for teas where you want to fully enjoy the fragrance.

Because this pottery is absorbent, its texture will change with the moisture and oil from food. It is prone to staining, so we recommend avoiding intensely colored dishes until the entire piece has absorbed oil. As it is used, it will develop more character, and we hope you will enjoy this transformation. If you are concerned, you can try soaking it in water for about 10 minutes before use. This will help prevent staining and odors to some extent, allowing it to gradually mature.
