Shintaro Enami, a ceramist and artist gaining attention at FFT. He is a prominent artist who trained for five years under Tetsuya and Momoko Otani, accumulating various experiences as their top apprentice, and then became independent from "Otani Pottery."
Enami's works feature distinctive flowing patterns of shinogi (carved lines). All are created by hand carving, and their elegant and intricate appearance is breathtaking. And his pottery wheel technique is truly impressive.

Because this pottery is absorbent, its texture will change with the moisture and oil from food. Since it is prone to staining, we recommend avoiding dark-colored dishes until the oil has completely permeated the entire piece. The more you use it, the more character it develops, so we hope you enjoy these changes. If you are concerned, try soaking it in water for about 10 minutes before use. This will help prevent staining and odors to some extent, and it will gradually mature.

2011-2013 Language study at Fudan University, Shanghai
2017 Worked at the studio of his grandfather, Kenzo Ogawa
2018 Completed the small pottery wheel course at Shigaraki Ceramic Research Institute
2019 Completed the clay and glaze course at Shigaraki Ceramic Research Institute
2020-2025 Studied under Tetsuya and Momoko Otani
