05 Rimmed Plate SS (Teal)

FFT is pleased to feature potter Shintaro Enami.

He is a highly anticipated artist who recently became independent from Otani Pottery after five years of diverse experience as the top apprentice to Tetsuya and Momoko Otani. Enami's works are characterized by distinctive waves (shinogi), all hand-carved, creating an elegant and intricate appearance that is truly stunning. His mastery of the potter's wheel is simply exceptional.

His pieces are lightweight, comfortable to hold, and have excellent weight balance.

The round-rimmed plate has a strong curve to its rim, allowing you to easily scoop up items like sauces or small dishes without them sliding off. Placing sugar cubes on the small round-rimmed plate when guests arrive adds a charming touch. Of course, it's also perfect for serving snacks.

While possessing refined forms, the works, imbued with the soft expressions of curves, seem to embody the aroma of coffee, enriching your coffee break.

【Handling Instructions】
Since this pottery is absorbent, its texture will change with exposure to moisture and oil from food. It is prone to staining, so we recommend avoiding intensely colored dishes until the pottery has absorbed oil evenly. As you use it, it will develop more character, and we hope you enjoy this transformation. If you are concerned, try soaking it in water for about 10 minutes before use. This will help prevent staining and odors to some extent, allowing it to gradually mature.
