Yoshihiko Takahashi's glassworks are softly formed by gravity and centrifugal force without excessive intentional manipulation during the shaping process, and their charm lies in their soft, air-enveloping forms. Another appealing aspect is the live feeling that captures a moment of the fluid glass, demonstrating high technical skill. Takahashi's works, which transcend the boundaries of art and craft, are housed in museums around the world.

Yoshihiko Takahashi - Brief Biography

Born in Tokyo in 1958. After studying product design at Tama Art University, he furthered his glassmaking skills under Udo Edelmann at Glaswerkstatt am Vorderturm in Germany. Upon returning to Japan, he established his studio in Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture.
