Shintaro Enami, a ceramic artist, is an artist to watch at FFT.

He gained diverse experience over five years as the top apprentice of Tetsuya and Momoko Otani before becoming independent.
All of the distinctive, flowing "shinogi" (carved lines) on Enami-san's works are hand-carved. The gentle curves softly adorn your table with their delicate expressions.

We love its compact size, which fits snugly in your hand. The gentle waves on the surface create subtle variations in the pale white glaze.

It can be used not only as a teacup but also for sauces, etc.

As these are artisan works, there may be individual differences in glaze, color, and size.

【Care Instructions】
Because this pottery is absorbent, its texture will change with the moisture and oil from food. It is prone to color transfer, so it is recommended to avoid dark-colored dishes until the entire surface is seasoned with oil. The more you use it, the more character it develops, so we hope you enjoy this transformation. If you are concerned, try soaking it in water for about 10 minutes before use. This will help prevent some color transfer and odors, allowing it to gradually mature.

2017 Joined the workshop of his grandfather, Kenzo Ogawa
2018 Completed small-item potter's wheel course at Shigaraki Ceramic Research Institute
