*Black spots and blemishes caused by iron appearing on the surface, approximately 1mm or less, may be present. These are intentional aesthetic features of the pottery, left by the artist.

This highly artistic item deeply reflects Mr. Iwata's flexible way of thinking.

The two cups standing side-by-side in harmony are truly charming. When displaying it as an objet, try tilting it in various directions to enjoy different ways of showcasing the piece. You can place it diagonally with one handle and cup facing down, or with both handles facing down.

It would also be lovely to display flowers in it as a vase.

Tetsuhiro Iwata - Brief Biography
Born in Tottori Prefecture in 1981. Studied architecture at Kyoto Seika University, later apprenticed under potter Kan Ito. Became independent in 2019. As he himself states, he is drawn to "products" like industrial goods; his works may appear unadorned from a distance, but upon holding them, one is impressed by their delicate balance and the traces of handcraftsmanship. The fusion of constructive, concise proportions and organic handcraft evokes the modernity of Brutalist architecture. He is an artist that Food For Thought is keeping a close eye on.
