Yoshihiko Takahashi's works are created using a technique called "free-blowing," where he rotates a pipe in the air and blows air into molten glass. Each piece, blown individually, is unique in the world!

This work is characterized by the texture created by lightly blowing glass into a jagged optic mold and then inflating it while twisting it in one direction. The sparkling expression from light reflection is refreshing and perfect for the upcoming hot season.

It drains water exceptionally well and is a pleasure to use! Besides drinks, it can also be used for dressings or as a vase for flowers.

【Yoshihiko Takahashi Brief Biography】
Born in Tokyo in 1958. Graduated from Tama Art University, Faculty of Art, Department of Design, Product Design Course, specializing in three-dimensional design, Craft Design Course in 1980. After serving as a research assistant in the three-dimensional design department at the same university, he honed his glassmaking skills as an assistant at Glasstudio am Wasserturm (Reichenbach, Germany) from 1982 to 1984. He established his studio in Sagamihara City in 1985. Served as a professor at Tama Art University until the end of March 2022.
