Shintaro Enami, a ceramist, is an artist to watch at FFT. He is a promising artist who spent five years gaining various experiences as the top apprentice of Tetsuya and Momoko Otani, and has now gone independent from "Otani Seitojo."

The lines of the regular, carved waves (shinogi).

While depicting a geometric order, their contours are exceptionally soft, resembling plants, seashells, or even unnamed life forms.Perfect repetition and subtle fluctuations due to handwork.A quiet dynamism born from seemingly hard clay. Each time it catches the light, the shadows created by the waves shift, revealing a scene on the surface of the vessel.

Its moderate depth makes it suitable for pasta or curry. Of course, it can also be used as a shallow bowl for serving main dishes.

The new color "teal," which has been refined through repeated trials,
According to Mr. Enami, the overall color is a pale green, with vivid colors appearing in places, reminiscent of verdigris rust. It's a color that defies a single description, appearing deep blue, green, or even gray. Its expression changes depending on how the light hits it and the viewing angle, and the fine shinogi applied to the rim creates even richer shadows.

The bluish tone of the bowl is refreshing, and it will be a delight to see how colorful summer vegetables and other dishes look when served in it. This is a new expression of tableware that Mr. Enami is currently creating through trial and error.

Diameter: Approx. 24cm / Height: Approx. 4.3cm

【Care Instructions】
Because this pottery is absorbent, its texture will change with the moisture and oil from food. It is prone to color transfer, so it is recommended to avoid dark-colored dishes until the entire surface is accustomed to oil. The more you use it, the more character it will develop, so we hope you enjoy these changes. If you are concerned, try soaking it in water for about 10 minutes before use. This will help prevent color transfer and odors to some extent, and it will gradually mature.
