"Hanakage" is one of Sakaida's most popular series. As the name suggests, this romantic work casts flower-like shadows on the table under a strong light source. Each piece has a gradation of pale colors at the bottom, and the way the colors are entangled in the shadows is also beautiful.

In the case of glasses, the edges are made very thin to make them more palatable, and the rims of bowls and vases are wrapped around the rims.

With a capacity of about 130ml, it is ideal for water glasses at the dining table.

1982 Born in Akita City, Akita Prefecture
2012 Graduated from Akita Junior College of Arts and Crafts
Moved to Toyama in 2012
2017 Returned to Akita City after Toyama Glass Studio and established a studio

*Because all glass is blown by hand, fluctuations such as unevenness and air bubbles occur on the surface and inside of the glass during the manufacturing process. There are scratches on the glass surface from the molding machine. There is no problem in using it, and it is unique to handmade products.

*Since it is not heat-resistant glass, please refrain from using it with boiling water or using it in a microwave oven/dishwasher.
