A slightly large katakuchi (spouted bowl).

This katakuchi can be used as a tea pitcher for Chinese tea to ensure an even strength before pouring into cups, or as a vessel to cool hot water for Japanese tea.
Of course, it also works well as a sake server or a vase for seasonal flowers.
As these are handmade by the artist, there are individual differences in glaze, color, and size.

【Care Instructions】
Because this pottery is porous, its character will change over time with exposure to the moisture and oils in food. As it is prone to staining, we recommend avoiding dark-colored foods until the surface is well-seasoned with oil. We hope you enjoy the way it develops character the more you use it. If you are concerned about staining, try soaking the piece in water for about 10 minutes before use. This will help prevent staining and odors to some extent, allowing it to mature gradually.

Shintaro Enami Biography
Born in 1989, Kobe.
2011–2013 Studied language at Fudan University, Shanghai.
2017 Worked at the studio of his grandfather, Kenzo Ogawa.
2018 Completed the small pottery wheel course at Shigaraki Ceramic Research Institute.
2019 Completed the clay and glaze course at Shigaraki Ceramic Research Institute.
2020–2025 Apprenticed under Tetsuya and Momoko Otani.
