New colors are now available for FFT's popular long-selling MODERN CLASSIC series cafe au lait bowls!

This is the color the owner is most passionate about: "Hisoku (Secret)". It is an ancient Japanese color, traditionally used to emphasize the reddish hue/complexion that makes people look beautiful.

In the "psychology of color" using a color wheel, "Hisoku" represents "serenity" and "calmness."

Some artists apply this color as the initial base layer in Japanese paintings to depict the venous blood in the shadows of humans and animals. In photographic expression, adding this hue to shadows can also enhance lively complexions. In makeup, it's a familiar basic color for concealers.

In other words, "Hisoku" is the secret color that best brings out the vibrant saturation of living things, i.e., ingredients.

When food is served in "Hisoku" tableware, whites appear whiter, and colored items appear even more saturated, making them truly look delicious. It's also a great point that it suits both Japanese and Western cuisine.

It's also convenient that it matches any tableware you already own. It's not just for China and Korea; this hue has also existed in Europe for a long time.

Regarding cutlery, silver is a given, but wood and brass also fall into the complementary color range, making for perfect matching.

"Hisoku" can truly be said to be versatile and the best choice.

⚠️The glaze is intentionally applied unevenly during firing. The glaze is not made uniform intentionally to preserve the marks of human handiwork. Please be aware of this if you are looking for perfectly uniform items.

The MODERN CLASSIC cafe au lait bowls are sleek and thin, with the most beautiful form imaginable, which is probably why so many people have picked them up.

It started with the thought, "Wouldn't we attract more fans if there were colors?" And we were convinced that if color were added to this shape, it wouldn't be rustic but would become sophisticated.

Since FFT is strongly associated with white and monochrome, colorful tableware will likely appear very fresh. Precisely because we have been committed to white, the color tones have FFT's unique ideas and essence.

The colors are the following four.
Each color name is also wonderful. We gave both Japanese and Western names. Please enjoy the names according to the image of your dishes and table.

Himawari (Sunflower)
If you use this vivid yellow in the morning, you might have a bright and energetic day.

Hai (Ash)
The calm gray enhances the color of any ingredient and accommodates vibrant hues like fruits.

Hisoku (Secret)
This color has been used in Japanese porcelain for a long time, but it also matches well with antique European tableware.

Benifuji (Wisteria)
The very gentle hue between light crimson and wisteria purple stirs a maiden's heart.

Just like the white ones, all colors are made using high-quality Japanese porcelain clay, and each step of molding, carving, glazing, and firing is entirely handcrafted by Japanese artisans.

All colors are available in both S and M sizes.
Enjoy mixing and matching colors, or enjoy your favorite color in different sizes.
And above all, these bright and vibrant colors are highly recommended as gifts!
