Mimosa ash glaze kyusu

Sale price£116.00 GBP

Mimosa glaze is a series of works by Michikazu Sakai that receives many inquiries. When Mr. Sakai was still working as a potter in Nagano, he reportedly regularly fired pieces using applewood ash glaze and chestnut wood ash glaze, which were readily available. After moving to Kagawa, he collected ash from the many mimosa trees planted in his kiln area to create this glaze.

The tea ware made by Mr. Michikazu, who loves tea, is also wonderful. From the handle of the teapot to the spout, it is made with the best balance that fits perfectly.

It's understandable that many people have decided that their teapots must be by Michikazu.

These pieces will make you look forward to your tea time.
