09 Chopstick Rest, Deer

Sale price£13.00 GBP

For the "Children's Vessel Exhibition," Ritsuko Imai has provided pieces fired in her Noborigama kiln this spring.

The Noborigama kiln uses wood to fire ceramics, rather than gas or electricity. The temperature and how the flames hit the pieces can cause unexpected changes in the glaze, or ash can create a freckled effect. In areas beyond human control, the clay and glaze develop a rich character.

These pieces have a slightly special finish, unique to the Noborigama kiln. When your child is a little older, please tell them at the dinner table about the time and effort that goes into creating these handcrafted items.

They also look adorable placed casually on a kitchen shelf.

Size: Approximately 7x2cm / Height: Approximately 3.5cm
As these are artisanal pieces, there may be individual differences in glaze, color, and size.
*Not suitable for oven, microwave, or dishwasher.
*Returns and refunds are not accepted. Please understand this before purchasing.
