Shintaro Enami is a ceramic artist who has garnered attention from FFT. He spent five years gaining diverse experience as the top apprentice to Tetsuya and Momoko Otani, and has now established his independence from "Otani Seitojo." He is an artist that FFT is keeping an eye on.

Enami's works feature distinctive flowing lines of shinogi (fluted carving). Each piece is meticulously hand-carved, and their elegant and intricate appearance is breathtaking. His mastery of the potter's wheel is truly exceptional.

The pieces are lightweight, comfortable to hold, and perfectly balanced. While sophisticated in form, the works possess a soft expression conveyed by their curves, reminiscent of the aroma of coffee, which will surely lead to a more enriched coffee break. The capacity is also recommended for those who like to drink plenty of coffee or enjoy cafe au lait.

Since this pottery is absorbent, its texture will change with the moisture and oil from food. It is prone to color transfer, so we recommend avoiding dishes with dark colors until the entire surface is seasoned with oil. The more you use it, the more character it develops, so we hope you enjoy these changes. If you are concerned, try soaking it in water for about 10 minutes before use. This will help prevent color transfer and odors to some extent, allowing the piece to gradually mature.
