I'm running a shop. Japanese people are the most knowledgeable in the world about how to handle ceramics. Even in Asia, for example, in neighboring Korea, we don't have rice bowls, and in the first place, metal is the main one. Even in China, we don't have the same obsession with grains of rice as we do. (I don't mean it in a bad way. There are many cases where it is good for the work.)
