Shintaro Enami, a ceramic artist who is a featured artist at FFT.

He gained 5 years of diverse experience as the top apprentice of Tetsuya and Momoko Otani before becoming independent.
All of Enami's works feature distinctive, hand-carved flowing lines. The soft expression created by the curves gently brightens any table.

Its pleasing compactness fits perfectly in the hand. The gentle waves on the surface create subtle expressions in the pale mocha glaze.

It can be used not only as a tea cup but also for sauces, etc.

As these are artisan works, there may be individual differences in glaze, color, and size.

【Handling Instructions】
Because this pottery is absorbent, its texture will change with the moisture and oil from food. Since it is prone to staining, it is recommended to avoid dark-colored dishes until the oil has fully permeated the piece. The more it is used, the more character it will develop, so we hope you enjoy that transformation. If you are concerned, try soaking it in water for about 10 minutes before use. This will help prevent staining and odors to some extent, allowing it to slowly mature.

2011-2013 Studied language at Fudan University, Shanghai
2017 Worked at the studio of his grandfather, Kenzo Ogawa
2018 Completed the Small Pottery Wheel course at Shigaraki Ceramic Research Institute
2019 Completed the Body and Glaze course at Shigaraki Ceramic Research Institute
2020-2025 Studied under Tetsuya and Momoko Otani
