67 Butter Case

Sale priceHK$1,854.00 HKD

*Black spots and blemishes may be visible due to iron exposure of 1mm or less.
These are intentional features left by the artist as part of the vessel's character.

There is a fresh surprise in the gap between the minimalist impression from a bird's-eye view, reminiscent of industrial products, and the texture of handwork that emerges when you focus closely.

In addition to using it as a butter dish, you can also use it as a small, stacked box. Fill it with chirashi sushi or unaju (eel over rice). A delightful surprise when you open the lid! Please enjoy with flexible ideas.

Diameter: Approx. 10 x 10 cm / Height: Approx. 5.5 cm (including lid)
As these are artisan works, there may be individual differences in glaze, color, and size.

Tetsuhiro Iwata Brief Biography
Born in Tottori Prefecture in 1981. Studied architecture at Kyoto Seika University, then apprenticed under ceramic artist Tamaki Ito. Became independent in 2019. As the artist himself states, he is attracted to "products" like industrial goods; from a distance, his works appear plain, but when you pick them up, you are moved by their exquisite balance and the traces of handwork. The fusion of structural and concise proportions with organic handcraft evokes the modernism of Brutalist architecture. He is an artist that Food For Thought is keeping an eye on.
